This post is inspired by a colleague.
We happened to have a meal together and in the midst of the conversation, I got to understand part of her lifestyle (grocery shopping part) and realised she is not maximising her “returns” by using the wrong credit card. I went on to share with her a better card to use. At the same time, I also mentioned that she should also consider getting the membership for its privileges after I realised the membership fits into her current lifestyle and would give her even more benefits. Combining both the credit card and membership privileges and using them together would reap an even better benefit.
She is an action-taker. Well, we should be if we want to take advantage of any benefits. After becaming an NTUC member, she feedbacked to me that she found out that NTUC membership is quite a good membership to get, not just for NTUC purchases.
So, if you are wondering if there’s any membership you should be getting, this is one choice. I don’t work for NTUC but I do like its membership too. It’s relatively low cost as well. But like I always emphasize, be a member only if it fits into your lifestyle, like in my colleague’s case.
P/S: I simply love it when I’m able to apply my knowledge in such cases and help another person.
