It’s the first day of a new year. If you have had some unhappiness in the past or some financial investments that didn’t go quite well, this is a great time to put them down, make new plans and look forward to another year ahead.
I’m fortunate to add another overseas property investment into my portfolio last year. And time will tell how well this decision will turn out.
I don’t quite do New Year’s resolution because I find that they don’t quite work for me. But I do have some financial plans laid out that I want to achieve in Year 2014.
If you still looking for some inspirations, help or tips to get you started on your financial journey for the new year, here’s one from me.
I’m going to save a dollar a day, everyday, for the next 365 days.
Yes, if during one of your reflections, you find that one of your past regrets is that you haven’t been saving enough or discovered that you have no idea where your money has gone to. Diligently following this should help you build up a disciplined habit of learning how to save and manage your finances, everyday.
Sounds like an easy goal? Practise it.
Lastly, have a plentiful year ahead!
