If you are holding on to a UOB card that gives you points (aka UNI$), and foresee that you’ll be spending on some huge purchases, do note this 25% more UNI$ promotion that has been going on for some time.
To be eligible to participate in this promotion, you must first hold a UOB card that awards UNI$ and then send in an SMS in the following format to 77862 to register.

Every $5 spending will usually be awarded with UNI$1 and the 25% UNI$ promotion is based on this formula.
In order to earn 25% more UNI$, spend $1000 on your card every month from 01 July 2013 to 30 September 2013. Subjected to a maximum cap of UNI$250 to be awarded every quarter.
I don’t encourage spending unnecessarily for the sake of promotions. So if you are going to miss this qualifying quarter from 01 July 2013 to 30 September 2013, you will still have one more chance for the next qualifying quarter from 01 October 2013 to 31 December 2013, where potentially spending is higher during the festive season and the school holidays.
Please refer to UOB for the terms and conditions but if I interpret this correctly, spending $1000 every month for 3 months (qualifying quarter) will result in a total spend of $3000 in the quarter, giving an additional UNI$150 already. With a maximum cap of UNI$250 to be awarded in a qualifying quarter, the maximum one should spend to take best advantage of this promotion is $5000 in total (an additional $2000 on top of the $1000 spend per month) for the quarter.
