About More More Cash

And Me..

I started doing this blog project sometime end of 2009.

It took me a long while to figure out what I wanted to put on my blog. Something that has to be close to my heart and that I am passionate about to keep it going.

All along, hunting for deals and being able to find ways to maximise my savings off my purchases gives me great enjoyment. In fact, it gives me an immerse sense of satisfaction and achievement when I can achieve any savings.

One day, I came across a credit card advertisement. After reading through the prints, I saw the potential benefits a credit card can give me. And I happily went to applied for that card.. However, my application was rejected.

To cut the story short, I finally got my first credit card. And from then on, the extra benefits that I can pile on, on top of my usual savings, grew. And that was how I decided to share the use of credit cards on my blog.

More More Cash went through a series of setback, mainly with technical issues. (Well, my forte is in the use of maximising the benefits out of credit cards, not with a website technicalities).

But I’m just glad I’m able to start posting again.

If anything good has came out of this whole technical issues, each time I restarted my blog, it gave me the opportunity to re-look at the blog structure and contents that I want to offer to my readers.

And I’m happy to say More More Cash has grown more matured. It no longer just share about credit card deals but also teaches the proper mindset in the use of credit cards.

So why is it important to develop the correct mindset in the use of credit card? Or rather, why is it important to educate yourself in the correct use of a credit card?

I’ve seen people who got “burnt” because of un-monitored credit card expenses or got “buried” in credit card debts. For some, they are still struggling to pay off these debts. For some, who managed to clear them off, they chose to stay far far away from credit like it is some poison.

To me, this is a pity that these people can’t enjoy the benefits of using a credit card. Remember, a credit card is just a card. It is something that is neutral. It is how we use it that gives it personality and this streams from the mindset of the user.

So having seen a few bad credit cases, I realised something.

The reason why most people failed is because they didn’t manage to manage their money.

They allowed money to manage them instead. Improper money management! It’s as simple as that.

And that’s when the direction of More More Cash took a change. Other than sharing how to use a credit card for benefits, I’ve decided to share how to use a credit card CORRECTLY.

And being a believer of an all-rounded education, a correct money management mindset don’t just consist of credit cards, how to save or cut your expenses. In today’s world, it’s also about growing mentally, multiplying your physical assets, whatever you have. While my core strength still lies in credit cards and its usage but I hope that with the vast contents that this blog has to offer, it’ll help and touch many more lives in time to come.

Cheers!

Gwen

Hi, gwen! I am a follower of your blog. I am moving into my new place next month and have started to go furniture shopping. May I know do you have any idea which bank is currently offering those ‘minimum spent’ sure-win promotion? Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks…

    Hi Shermaine!

Thank you for following my blog.

At the current moment, there is no minimum spend or spend and redeem promotion that I am aware of.

However, if you could just hold off your furniture shopping until end of the year (some time around November/December period which is only a couple of months away), I’m positive there will be such promotions to make your furniture purchases more worthwhile. These promotions usually will require a spending range of about $2,000+ to $3,000+ during the promo period.

On a side note, if you hold an American Express card and small electrical appliances is in your list of to-gets, you may refer to this post – http://moremorecash.com/blog/credit-cards/american-express-spend-and-get-promotion/. This $200 spend promotion ends by 29 September 2012. But before you make any purchase, try to register first to see if you are successfully registered, otherwise you still won’t be able to enjoy the benefits.

Cheers to being a wise spender!

    Gwen,

Skimmed thru your blog. Suprise you did not comment abt time deposit rates offered by ICICI bank in Singapore. When I last checked, they still offer one of the highest time deposit interest rates.

    Regards,

    Mohan
