POSB Everyday Card Daily$ expiry

This is just a little tip for those who POSB cardholders who might be wondering about the expiry date to Daily$ – There is no expiry date for Daily$.

The good thing with not having an expiry date is that we can accumulate a lot more Daily$ before we do a redemption.

As POSB Everyday credit card gives 0.3% rebates in the form of Daily$ for general expenses. Therefore, the downside to this can be that we start forgetting about the existence of these points and ended up not doing any redemption at all compared. The end result will be zero as compared to spending on a normal cash rebate card.

So personally, I’d still recommend doing a redemption on regular intervals even though there is no expiry date. The good thing about Daily$ is that there is no minimum amount required to redeem. So we can always set a regular date for redemption, for example, every 3 or 6 months.

Or personally, what I do is I’d redeem after my Daily$ hit a certain number, say 20 Daily$. Set a comfortable, realistic or average number. 20 Daily$ could be equivalent to a week’s of your travel expenses for example. So you’ll have a week’s “free” travel after redemption as result from your planning of your expenses.

Start practising the habit of regular redemption so that in the event of sudden cancellation of your card for whatever reasons, you would already have gotten the benefits you deserved for spending on this card and kept “losses” l0w.

Also, as we all know the value of money diminishes over time. A 20 Daily$ redeemed today definitely have more spending power than a 20 Daily$ redeemed a year down the road.
