What does 50,000 Linkpoints mean?

In a previous post where I mentioned that if you decided to purchase Waterbay EC, you could get 50,000 Linkpoints if you are a NTUC member.

I thought I should elaborate a little bit on this numerically.

Under a normal circumstances, you’d need to spend $25,000 to be able to accumulate 50,000 worth of Linkpoints. This is assuming that you are a NTUC member and your purchases are at NTUC. You may need to spend more if you are not a NTUC member or if you make your purchases elsewhere.

Although a house costs in the range of hundreds thousands. But personally, I feel that if you have already set your eyes on Waterbay EC, this 50,000 Linkpoints is considered a bonus, since you’ll be buying it anyway.

Assuming that you redeem these Linkpoints at NTUC, 150 Linkpoints is equivalent to a $1 offset at NTUC. 50,000 Linkpoints would work out to be about $333 worth. It may not seem like a lot, but again, I consider this to be a bonus and it is an additional bonus that would, otherwise, usually requires one to spend $25,000 on groceries to be able to get it.
