Which card to use at Marché?

I was at Marché VivoCity (Singapore) last night.

If you are wondering which card could give you a dining privilege there, unfortunately there are none that would give you an outright discount.

However, you can redeem a $10 off your bill with every 2,000 OCBC$. This will work out to be equivalent to getting about 0.5% worth of rebates if you have been using a rebates card instead of a points accumulation card. In my opinion, this is considered one of the better redemption rate for points redemption.

Just a small note here.

Assuming if a person had 2,000 OCBC$ and not redeemed any points at all, the $10 bill would have been charged and earned the cardholder 10 OCBC$. He/She would have a total accumulated points of 2,010 OCBC$.

For a person with 2,000 OCBC$ and chose to redeem the points for the $10 off the bill (assuming the total bill is $10 and after redeeming, the person had a $0 bill left), he/she would end up with 0 points.  Therefore, this means that the total ‘cost’ of redemption is actually 2,010 points. This 10 points difference is pretty much negligible though and exist in almost all, if not all, redemption of this structure, be it a cash or points redemption.
